How hard is it to notice when a living creature needs help? How hard is it too notice when something is not being treated fairly or right? Why do people just sit back and let these poor creatures get abused and killed by the very beings that were supposed to love and care for them? These animals deserve better, much better
Just in Ontario there are about 16,000 animal cruelty complaints each year and each and every single year the numbers increases. 16.000...wow, and to think these animals
trust us. Looking at this some of us human beings are cruel monsters, with empty
black hearts. Here's an idea, try loving these amazing animals god put on this
planet, it is what they were sent here for. To top things off about 8-12
million animals are to the shelter each year because they were abused or abandoned. The number of cats and dogs euthanized in shelters across the US is between
5-9 million – 60% dogs, 70% cats.
This important social issue affects animals, families and communities. It involves physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect and staging animal
fights. Physical abuse is the infliction of injuries causing unnecessary pain to
the animal. Sexual abuse is any sexual conduct with animals, sometimes resulting
in injuries. Emotional abuse is abandoning the animal for a long period of time
and/or not feeding, walking or loving the animal. Neglect is blocking out the
animal from any good contact or hurting it when you are depressed which can be
whipping the animal, hitting, stabbing and yes even burning the animal. Staging
animal fights are where you use a certain species of animal or maybe even the
same species to fight against the other animal. The smaller one is normally
chained and tied up giving it an unfair advantage. Sometimes the chained up one
has about 2-10 animals attacking it at once. How would you like if someone tied
you up with chains and let larger creatures rip you into pieces!?
Animal
abuse occurs all around the world, and who knows there may be someone in your
neighborhood who abuses animal in any way that will hurt the animals
emotionally or physically. There are ways to save these animals, but that's only
if you can care for these animals. One way you can help these animals are you
could adopt one, two maybe even three from a shelter.
